Using custom shipping methods you can easily create offers like:

Free Shipping Over $50

Offers like this not only increase the average order amount but are also useful for attracting visitors in ads linking to your site.

To create this option on your store simply

1. Create a new Custom Method – by Price. Give it a name like ‘Standard Ground Shipping’.

2. For the first rule in the method give it a minimum total of $0 and a maximum of $49.99

3. For the second rule in the method give it a minimum total of $50 and the highest possible maximum (ex: 9,999,999).

Now any customers with an order amount of $50 and over will see $0.00 for that shipping method and receive free shipping upon selecting it.
