BlogHer | bet ’11 Conference Begins in Santa Clara Today

by Lisa Byrne on March 25, 2011

Yesterday I arrived in Santa Clara, California to join 150 women entrepreneurs for BlogHer | bet ’11, March 24-25th. Armed with an idea, 100 business savvy women will be paired with one of 50 accomplished female mentors to be coached and advised on how to turn their entrepreneurial idea into a successful business. The networking began with an evening cocktail reception at Cisco TelePresence Center (demo feature in image) and will be followed by a day of conversation, coaching, and collaboration at the Microsoft Conference Center.

Mentors include notable women such as Analisa Balares, CEO and founder of Womensphere; Kaliya Hamlin, founder of She’s Geeky; Sandy Jen, co-founder of Meebo; Allyson Kapin founder of WomenWhoTech; and many, many more. BlogHer co-founder, Lisa Stone, will be in attendance. You might remember her from our entertaining Go Granny video with Cloris Leachman, advising viewers to “get serious” about their business. If you missed it you can check it out here, it’s sure to start your day with a smile!

BlogHer has also partnered with WMBLY to offer a Virtual Conference Pass, which includes live streaming of every panel and keynote session, and a live chat function for all the virtual attendees. Sign up now, this is live today! It will also be available for 60 days following the conference: http://blogherbet.wmbly.com/
