For readers who are not familiar with Tech Cocktail it is a – “cocktail of emerging technology news, people, startups, products, and innovations” for the true tech enthusiast. Run by CEO Frank Gruber and COO Jen Consalvo, Tech Cocktail is a full-fledged tech news blog and media company that carries tech, startup, entrepreneur news and mixes online media with offline events that have taken place in Chicago, DC, Boston, Boulder, San Francisco, San Diego, Barcelona, Austin and other cities.
On March 3rd the first Tech Cocktail Baltimore took place and the Network Solutions team was in attendance. The event had several tech startups display their ideas and innovation and networked with the members of the Baltimore technology community. Tech Cocktail partnered with the Greater Baltimore Tech Council and partners at Blue Sky Factory. For entrepreneurs and startups it is important to be part of the local community and network. At the event we met VCs, local journalists and bloggers – people who will definitely help spread the word and if impressed may even help the startup get funding. Technology is a great tool that helps people with a dream achieve their goal.
According to the latest Small Business Success Index “Small businesses are also more optimistic about the outlook for the economy in the next 12 months than a year ago, with only 15 percent believing the economy will decline compared to 26 percent who believed this a year ago”. This was certainly in evidence at the Tech Cocktail Balitmore.
