Women Grow Business, a blog community of female business owners and entrepreneurs powered by Network Solutions, invites you to join us for the first session in our “Pay It Forward” series: Understanding Social Media for Your Small Business.
While social media is becoming a more pervasive channel for small businesses to try to promote and engage their customers, there is still a lot of confusion and questions on how to best utilize this medium. We want to help pay it forward by imparting relevant guidance and insight to women businesses on the benefits, tradeoffs and tools around social media and how it can support their efforts.
Our first event will be hosted on the morning of May 5th downtown Washington, DC by our sponsor, Venable LLP. We encourage women business owners - or those on the verge of starting their own business – who are seeking guidance on how to start or optimize their social media presence to attend.
For our first event in the Pay It Forward series, we are honored to have Jen Consalvo, co-founder of TECH Cocktail and Shiny Heart Ventures, as our featured speaker. For almost 14 years, Jen has led teams in a range of product areas such as digital imaging, social platforms and personalization. The majority of her career was at AOL, planning and building products used by millions of people globally. We are so pleased to have her come share her wealth of knowledge with our attendees!
