I am currently attending the Content Marketing World Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. The conference organizers state that Content Marketing World is the largest gathering of content marketing professionals in the world, with over 600 marketing professionals from 18 different countries. I have been to Cleveland before but never by air so it was a pleasant surprise to see the airport with its décor of models paper planes. For hundreds of years Cleveland has been one of the B2B publishing meccas, including such publishing giants as Penton Media and Advanstar with corporate headquarters here. Over the past decade, content marketing has taken hold in the Northeast Ohio area. Cleveland is now an incubator for content marketing brands, including Junta42 | Content Marketing Institute, Optiem, PR 20/20, and Med City Media.
Wow! I never knew that Penton Media — the company that a good friend Andrew Bates works for — was in Cleveland. Here are some initial pictures from Cleveland and the conference even before it begins.
We were very impressed that conference delegates got a free one way ticket to ride Cleveland’s RTA from the airport to the Town Center. Passes were available online. The Renaissance in Cleveland is putting up a good show for the delegates with a good rate, Club rooms and also a custom room key.
