Network traffic spikes today

Network Solutions has had traffic spikes on the network and DNS queries today due to a DDoS attack on our DNS servers causing intermittent disruption of normal DNS/Website resolution. Our engineering team has been taking steps to mitigate the DDOS attack, and most websites should be resolving normally, although some issues may continue. We regret any inconvenience; unfortunately, situations like this are beyond our control and caused by outside perpetrators.

Thank you all for your understanding. As always, we will continue to work to prevent these and other types of technical issues caused by third parties that may impact our customers.

Here are links to two articles that explain what a DDOS attack is in case our readers are interested.
