The Custom Logo Design Process

Step 1: You complete a questionnaire about your business and what you are looking for in a company logo. Any color suggestions, stylistic ideas, and general conceptual thoughts that you provide will help your designer get a feel for the type of visual identity that would be most appropriate for your business.
Step 2: After reviewing your questionnaire, your logo designer will contact you by phone for an initial consultation to begin the design process. In this conversation, he/she will discuss the project goals with you and answer any questions you may have regarding the logo design process as a whole. The project timeline will be initiated at this step.
Step 3: Based on your questionnaire and phone consultation, your designer will create and present to you several visual logo design concepts, along with his/her thoughts and vision for your logo as it relates to your business.
Step 4: After you receive your company logo concepts, you will choose your preferred logo concept and collaborate with your designer on several revisions to that logo design. During this stage, your constructive criticism and direct, thorough feedback will be important to ensure your complete satisfaction with the final result. After revisions are complete, your designer will deliver a final, high-impact logo design for your approval.
Step 5: Following receipt of your written approval of your chosen design, your designer will provide you with print and Web-ready formats of your new business logo.

How long does a Custom Logo take?
Under optimal conditions, you can expect a final logo design delivered within ten (10) business days. This timeline depends heavily on communication. Your logo designer will work with you every business day for the duration of your timeline.
Do I own the rights to my logo? Do you offer copyrighting services?
Yes and No. Per creative rights laws, any unique artwork created becomes immediate property of the owner — you. Our graphic designers will deliver you a final company logo set that that you will own. You can further copyright or trademark through the appropriate government agencies in your country.
What formats do you provide my logo in?
We will provide your designed logo in three file types: .JPG, .EPS and .TIF. These formats cover the spectrum of Web graphic and Print use worldwide. Web ready graphics for your online business site as well as a print ready file to use in the creation of collateral is provided.
What does it mean by revisions?
A revision constitutes any change, big or small, requested of your designer and their logo concept. A revision period will follow the initial draft created by your logo designer and each change, feedback and request will count towards your revision process.
Do you create custom illustrations, or just use clipart?
This answer depends on your needs. Custom illustration is reserved for our Custom Plus solution, due to the nature of time needed to draw characters, objects and/or font type to portray a unique need. Our team does not use clipart to deliver a final business logo, but uses elements combined from stock imagery, fonts and illustration to create your logo. Please discuss with an account representative your needs to determine which solution is right for you.
What are the main differences between Custom and Custom Plus?
Our Custom Plus solution offers you more initial logo concepts to review and more revisions to choose a final logo. The added concepts will help make your decision easier and if your needs are complicated or unique, the Custom Plus solution will ensure your graphic designer devotes as much time as possible creating your identity.
