Workers' Credit Union (WCU) was founded in 1914. It is a state chartered community credit union, serving 65,000 individual and small business members. WCU had a website (www.wcu.com), but it was used primarily to drive business to individual branches. Then, a couple of years ago WCU decided to revisit its entire business model, including how it used the Web.
Challenge
"We wanted to reach the Gen X, Gen Y and tech-savvy audiences" said Chris. "Our search rankings were awful. We were on page 7, 8 and 9. Absolutely no one could find us. We had a direction with the overall marketing plan and I had a basic understanding of how Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click worked. I just needed some help. You can't just put your website out there and hope someone will find you."
