Small Biz Reg Watch
Keeping up on government regulations affecting small business can be overwhelming for any business owner. In addition, it’s important to know what new regulations are being considered so you can make your voice heard. The House Committee on Small Business has created Small Biz Reg Watch, a website to help business owners stay informed about regulatory proposals that are open for comment and that may have a significant economic impact on small businesses. The Committee wants business owners to get involved by letting the government know how its proposals will impact them. The page lists current proposals and their impact on small business and provides a place to post your comment.

Animate any object in as little as three clicks of a mouse. Then build your story with animated scenes, and share your video with customers right away.

PEX Card
Is your company’s spending getting out of control? Are you finding it hard to keep track of employee expenses? PEX Card is a business prepaid card specifically designed to help companies take control of employee expense management. For a monthly per-card fee, businesses can distribute funds for employees to spend and then keep track of transactions as they occur. There are no transaction fees and no interest charges, and businesses gain more power over the company’s cash flow. You or your internal PEX Card administrator can easily add funds to your employee cards through the PEX website; that money is available to employees immediately.

Carbonite Currents
Don’t fret, your free file synching app is now available from cloud storage and backup company Carbonite. Unlike some other syncing apps, Carbonite Currents automatically and immediately syncs files you’ve recently created or edited to all of your devices. You no longer need to email yourself a file to work on, figure out which is the latest version of a file, or save a file to a group folder and search throughout a bunch of documents. And since you can sync the files on your mobile device, your files are available and easy to find anywhere you are. Great for small businesses with a mobile work force on the go.

Screencast-o-matic
According to Internet Retailer, 52 percent of consumers say that watching product videos makes them more confident in their online purchase decisions. So how can you capture video for your website or promote your business by video on YouTube? Screencast-o-matic can help you create a “screencast” video of the activity on your computer screen and then upload it to the video channel of your choice or just save it as a video file to use on your website. With editing tools such as zoom, voice recording and text overlays, you can show consumers how to order, how to use a product or whatever information you feel needs a video to portray.
