301 Redirect Service OverviewRequired Information
Our 301 Redirect service, provided by our MyTime Support™ Team, incorporates a 301 redirect into your website code. A redirect may be needed if you are moving your website to a new location or if you have multiple domains directing to the same top level domain.
In order to complete the service, we must receive information on the following:
- URL of the transferring site
- URL of the destination site
- Host FTP information, including Host, Username, and Password (this is not required if the transferring site is hosted at Network Solutions)
Service Details
Please note the following regarding this service:
- Adding a 301 Redirect to a site with a content management system (CMS) may break the entire site. Please contact us if you have concerns, as the implementation will not address any resulting issues related to the CMS on the site.
- We cannot mask a 301 redirect. In order to enable masking, please consider our web forwarding product (click here for more information).
