You can control the inactive timeout duration by selecting the timeout drop-down, selecting a new time, and then login into the Control Panel.  Please note that Super Admin user and users with access to credit card information cannot set their inactive timeout duration for longer than 15 minutes.

If you wish to create users that can remain logged in for longer periods of time, and will not have access to credit card information (such as users that will enter product information or process orders), you can create users with specific permissions in the Users section of the Operations tab of the Control Panel.
