Can I Import My Address Book?
Yes, you can. In order to do so, you will need to first determine which webmail version you are using. To determine this, see Which Webmail Version Do I Have?.
If you are using the new platform, first log into your webmail, then:
- Click the
icon found in the upper left toolbar. - Maximize the "+" sign next to "Configuration". This will make "Import, Options and Tags" appear.
- Select "Import".
- Upload either a vCard or .CSV file. If your .CSV file was exported by Outlook, you will also need to change the drop-down menu to "Outlook® file".
If you are using the older platform, first log into your webmail, then:
- Log in to Web Mail
- Click on the Address Book button in the left navigation bar
- Click on the Import button at the top of the page
- In the Select source format section, select the radio button next to the file type you wish to import, click on the Continue button then follow the steps below for the format you've chosen:

- Specify the file you want to import in one of the following ways:
- Type the name of the file in the File name text box.
- Click on the Browse button, which will open up a navigation window with your computer's files, locate the file you want to import, select it, and then click on the Open button. The selected file name will appear in the File name text box.
- Click on the Import button.
- Specify the file you want to import in one of the following ways:
- Palm Pilot, Outlook Express, Eudora® 5.X
- Select how the file is separated from The file is separated by: drop down menu.
- Specify the file you want to import in one of the following ways:
- Type the name of the file in the File name text box.
- Click on the Browse button, which will open up a navigation window with your computer's files, locate the file you want to import, select it, and then click on the Open button. The selected file name will appear in the File name text box.
- Click on the Import button.
- Outlook 2000, Outlook XP
- Select how the file is separated from The file is separated by: drop down menu.
- Select the date format that will be used from The date format is: drop down menu.
- Specify the file you want to import in one of the following ways:
- Type the name of the file in the File name text box.
- Click on the Browse button, which will open up a navigation window with your computer's files, locate the file you want to import, select it, and then click on the Open button. The selected file name will appear in the File name text box.
- Click on the Import button.

- Select how the fields in your file are separated from The file is separated by: drop down menu.
- Select the date format that will be used from The date format is: drop down menu.
- In the Custom Fields section, find the field that corresponds to the first field in your Contact file and type a 1 in the text box.
- In the Customer Fields section find the field that corresponds to the second field in your Contact file and type a 2 in the text box, then repeat this step for each field in your Contact file, typing the corresponding field number in the appropriate text box.
- Specify the file you want to import in one of the following ways:
- Type the name of the file in the File name text box.
- Click on the Browse button, which will open up a navigation window with your computer's files, locate the file you want to import, select it, and then click on the Open button. The selected file name will appear in the File name text box.
- Click on the Import button.
For example, if you have a csv file that contains fields in the following order: First Name, Last Name, Mobile, Home Phone, Business Phone then you would fill in the following text boxes in the Custom Fields section:

Your imported contact information should now appear in your Address Book, with all the contacts assigned to the specified category.
Note: Please remember that your contacts are included in your e-mailbox storage usage. Therefore if you imported a significant number of contacts into Web Mail, you should check your storage usage to ensure that you aren't close to exceeding your e-mailbox storage allocation
