Can I use the same application name for each Ruby On Rails application I create?

No. You must create a unique application name for each Ruby on Rails application you create.

Application names must not contain any meta characters (^ $ / \ ( ) ? + * [ ] { } , .) or spaces.

How do I upload a Ruby on Rails application using FTP?

  1. Log in to Account Manager.
  2. Click on the My Products and Services tab.
  3. Click on the My Hosting Packages hyperlink.  If you have more than one Web Hosting, select the package you need to update.
  4. Click Web Hosting Toolbox button
  5. Under the FTP & Content Publishing section click on the FTP File Publisher icon.
  6. Click the home directory (htdocs).
  7. Click rails/[appName].
  8. Copy files from your base directory (left hand navigation) to your application's directory (right hand navigation).

Alternatively, you may also use FTP software with your FTP login credentials and upload your files to htdocs/rails/[appName].
