Change Without Authorization

When you set up your CIRA account for the first time you will be asked if you want to provide Change Without Authorization capability to Network Solutions®. Change Without Authorization allows Network Solutions to make administrative contact updates to your .ca domain name at CIRA on your behalf that you request via Account Manager or Customer Service without your prior express approval.

For example, if you made a change to your email address via Account Manager, the process below will be followed:

Network Solutions Assigned Change Without Authorization Ability

  1. Network Solutions updates our system with your new email address. These changes are reflected in your account, which you can view in Account Manager.
  2. Network Solutions submits the request to CIRA.
  3. CIRA sends a confirmation to Network Solutions stating that the request has been processed in the CIRA system.


Network Solutions Not Assigned Change Without Authorization Ability

  1. Network Solutions updates our system with your new email address. These changes are reflected in your account, which you can view in Account Manager.
  2. Network Solutions submits the request to CIRA.
  3. CIRA sends an email to you requesting that you log in to your CIRA account to confirm the request.

Once you confirm the request, CIRA sends a confirmation to Network Solutions stating that the request has been processed in the CIRA system.
