Creating a Quick Order Page

(Pro Only)

You can create a Quick Order custom page that your customers can utilize to quickly add multiple products to their shopping cart without having to look at the details for each product they wish to add.  This is a great option for repeat customers who know what they want to order, or for customers who are only looking to add specific items from specific categories.

Note:  Creating a Quick order page involves some use of nsScript.  It may be helpful to familiarize yourself with the basics of nsScript before beginning.

Create a Custom Page

To create a Quick Order page, you must first create a custom page.

  • In the Control Panel, go to the Pages tab.  Click the Custom Pages link on the left side of the Control Panel.

  • Clicking on the Custom Pages link will open the Custom Pages Manager.  Here you can create a new custom page by entering your new custom page name in the New Page Name field, and clicking the Add New Page button.

  • Once you've created your custom page you will be taken to the Edit Custom Page screen.

  • Enter the Page Name, Page Title, Friendly URL, Meta Keywords, and Meta Description of your page.
  • Click the Save button.  This will save your progress so far.

Add the Quick Order nsScript

While you can add text and HTML to the page content, you can also add nsScript to the page content to direct the way in which the page functions.  To create a Quick Order page, you will want to add the Quick Order nsScript, and then adjust the parameters of the script to suit your needs.

  • Click on the nsScript drop-down box next at the top of the Page Content box.

  • Select the Quick Order selection, then click the Insert button.  This will insert an nsScript line at the top of your Custom Page.

  • The nsScript has several parameters that can be adjusted to suit your needs.  These parameters include:
    • showimages - true/false, true default
    • showdescriptions - true/false, true default
    • showstockmessage - true/false, true default
    • showcategoryselector - true/false, true default
    • showsearch - true/false, true default
    • pagesize - string
    • initialcategoryid - null
  • Once you are satisfied with your Custom page, click the Save or Save & Return button to go back to the Custom Page Manager.
