Design/Develop Standard Website Design Setup Guide

Design/Develop Standard Website Design

Setup Guide: Design/Develop Websites
(Standard Website Design with Network Solutions® Web Hosting)

Welcome! This guide will teach you how to use Network Solutions® Website Design Services. This guide is for those who purchase Standard Design with Web Hosting.

In order to use this service, you must use Network Solutions Web Hosting. If you already use our Web Hosting services, then you can purchase Standard Web design services and get started.

If you don't have a Web host or you're using another Web host, you will need to purchase Web Hosting services from Network Solutions along with Standard Web design services. All Web Hosting fees apply and are not included in the cost of Standard Web design services.

What is a Standard Website Design?

If you want to create a Web site for your business, but lack the time or the know-how to get it done, Network Solutions can create a fully functional five-page Web site to suit your needs.

You can purchase additional Web pages for $60.00 per page. Since businesses grow and change, Network Solutions allows each user to create up to 35 Web pages per Web site.

Getting Started

Step 1: Schedule a consultation with our design team after purchasing the Standard Web design package with or without Web Hosting. Call 1-888-642-9675 to speak with a Network Solutions Customer Service Representative.

You may also schedule your consultation online from within your Online Account Manager.  Here's how:

1)  Navigate to https://www.networksolutions.com/manage-it/index.jsp and log into your Online Account Manager.
2)  Click on the Design/Develop link located on the Left Hand navigation.
3)  If you have multiple Design/Develop products, select the one you that contains the appointment you want to schedule.
4)  Once on the Design/Develop Service Details page, locate the current time of your appointment and click on the 'Schedule' link.
5)  Select a new time for your Design/Develop consultation and click Save!

Step 2: Prepare for your consultation.

  • Consider the purpose of your Web site.
  • Consider possible design concepts and other ideas.
  • Consider how you would like your Web site to look and the types of information you would like to include.

Most design consultations take about 60 minutes to complete. During this time, you will have the opportunity to speak with an Account Manager to explain your ideas and expectations for your Web site.

Step 3: Select your Web site design from the options presented to you online.

  • To access these designs, visit www.difmdesign.com
  • Choose the design option that best suits your needs. While you don't have to make this decision immediately during your consultation, you should let the Account Manager know which option you want to use as soon as possible.
  • Keep your business goals, company image and customer base in mind when choosing a Web site design.

Step 4: Send all Web site content within 7 days of your design consultation. Web content can include a company logo, additional Web page text, images or photos.

Choose from thousands of free images located in our image gallery or upload your own royalty free images.

To find images in our gallery, log in to your Online Account Manager.

  1. Log into your account by clicking Account Manager on the top right of the screen.
  2. Scroll down to the “Your Services” section and click on your Hosting Package name. This will open the “Hosting Details” page.
  3. Click Hosting Control Panel. The Hosting Control Panel will open and a list of options will appear.
  4. Click Site Center icon.
  5. Click ImageCafe® Web Site Creator link.
  6. Click Launch ImageCafe Web Site Creator to open the application in a new browser window.
  7. Follow the prompts to locate the image library.

Please Note: All images should be sent to your Account Manager in standard image format (.GIF, .JPG, .BMP, .EPS or .TIF).

Step 5: Log into the Online Account Manager to review your new Web site to determine if it suits your needs. You will be sent email confirmation when your Web site is ready for review.

To log in, visit http://www.networksolutions.com. Click Manage Account tab at the top of the homepage. If you've forgotten your log-in information, please visit: https://www.networksolutions.com/manage-it/forget-login.jsp.

Step 6: Submit any changes to your Account Manager within 7 days of receiving this email confirmation.

To submit changes, contact your Web site designer or make changes yourself using our ImageCafe self editing tool.

Please Note: Your Web site will be finished and ready for publication within 7 days regardless of whether you make any final changes or not. Most Web sites are published between 10 and 15 days after design approval.

Approve your Web site by contacting your Account Manager once you're satisfied.

Do not make any additional changes once the revision process is complete until after Web site publication or valuable Web content may be lost.

Step 7: Congratulations! Your Web site is complete and will be made public within 7 days.

Making Changes to Your Web Site

You can revise your Web site whenever you like using ImageCafe® after the Web site has been published.
