How long will my site be down?

It depends on the size of your site, but we expect downtime to be minimal.  Most sites will be down for less than a minute.

How was the order determined for sites to be upgraded?

We analyzed our various servers and put them in order of greatest need.  The servers that used the most processing power and bandwidth moved first.

What does this mean for my site?

The upgrade will include a new Operation System (OS), SQL, and more RAM for the server.  This is expected to improve performance and create a more responsive environment.  The upgrade will not include additional software functionality.

Does the merchant need to do anything?

Network Solutions will handle the entire upgrade process.  Unlike the migration upgrade, nothing is required from our customers. However, customers will want to be conscious of paid marketing efforts on the upgrade date.

Is this the same thing as the 4.x to 7.x Upgrade?

The 4.x to 7.x upgrade is an update in our ecommerce software, whereas this is an upgrade is our back-end servers used to host your online store.  This upgrade is both software and hardware related.
