Entourage Client Setup

*Please Note*

Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have recently begun blocking port 25. If port 25 does not work for you, try using server port 2525 as an outgoing server.

 

Microsoft Entourage (Mac)

 

This tutorial will take you through the step by step process of setting up your Network Solutions email with Entourage for Mac

  1. With Entourage open From the TOOLS menu select ACCOUNTS settings, this will open the accounts window.
  2. Select NEW.

3.     ·  The "Account Setup Assistant" will launch, enter your full email address in the box (ex. john@example.com).

4.     Click the arrow in the lower right corner to proceed.

5.     Entourage will try to configure automatically, if it fails, click the arrow in the lower right corner to proceed.

6.     Enter the following information:

7.     Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing messages.

8.     Email Address: Enter your full mail address (e.g., john@example.com).

9.     Account ID: Enter your full Network Solutions' Email Address

10.   Password: Enter your password

11.   Make sure POP is selected and enter

    1. For your Incoming mail server (POP3): type "mail" followed by your domain name (e.g. mail.example.com)

For your Outgoing mail server (SMTP): type "smtp." followed by your domain name (e.g. smtp.example.com)

12.   Click the arrow in the lower right corner to proceed.

13.   Click the arrow in the lower right corner to proceed.

14.   Click on the skip button

15.   Enter in the name you would like for the account and click finish

16.   Make sure the account is selected and double click on the account

17.   In the sending mail section click on the advanced settings options

18.   Click on the checkbox for “SMTP service requires secure connection”

19.   Click on the checkbox for Override default SMTP port and Change your outgoing server setting to 2525 or 587 if you are with Verizon you should change your port to 587

20.   Click on the checkbox for SMTP server requires authentication and make sure the login is correct

21.   Click ok to finish setting up your email
