To finalize the transfer process, you will need to obtain a transfer authorization code from your current domain name registrar for each domain name you wish to transfer.

An Authorization Code (also referred to as an Auth Code or an EPP Code) provides an extra level of security for the domain name registration. The authorization code is unique for each domain name and is assigned by the registrar at the time the domain name is registered.

Please note

You can checkout without the authorization code, but you will need to return and enter the code within 14 days in order to finalize the transfer.

If you know the name and phone number of your current domain name registrar, please contact them now to request the authorization code. The code will most likely be sent to the email address you have on file with that registrar.

If you do not know the name and phone number of your current registrar, we can help you find it.

• If you are transferring a .com or .net, the current registrar information for that domain name is displayed on the transfer request screen.
• If you are transferring any other extension (e.g.,biz), please search the WHOIS database to determine the name of your current registrar. 
• If you know the name of your registrar, you may use this table to find their contact information and to then request from them your transfer authorization code.

Once you have the authorization code(s), please enter it into the correct field next to the domain name(s) you wish to transfer.
