How do I keep customers from buying out-of-stock products if the product was in stock when they placed it in their cart?
To prevent out-of-stock purchases;
- Go to Operations > Settings > Products in the Control Panel.
- At the 'Display products if not in stock' setting, select either 'Hide products out of stock' or 'Show products out of stock'.
If the product is in a customer's saved shopping cart they'll receive a message that the item is no longer available when they attempt to checkout.
