The PayPal Website Payments Pro payment method requires that you first setup a Paypal Express Checkout payment method.  Please note that to use either of these PayPal payment methods, you must have a Premier or Business PayPal account.


Setting up PayPal Express Checkout

• Log into your PayPal account.
• Click My Account Tab.
• Click on the Profile Tab (on the right).
• Under the Account Information column, you should see the API Access link, click on that link (if you do not see it then your account is not Premier or Business).
• In the API Access page, click on the first link, Grant API Permission.
• Click on the link below, "Configure Custom API Authorization".
• The Partner API username needs to be billing_api1.monstercommerce.com
• Select the following checkboxes (Required)
  • SetExpressCheckout
  • GetExpressCheckoutDetails
  • DoExpressCheckoutPayment

Once you have setup your PayPal Express Checkout payment method, you can setup your PayPal WEbsite Payments Pro Payment Method.

Setting up PayPal Website Payments Pro
When using PayPal Website Payments Pro you must set up PayPal Express and you must have at least one more option checked in your PayPal account.

• DoDirectPayment

To process Refunds for an order in the cart, select the following checkbox (optional)

• RefundTransaction

To process Voids for an order in the cart, select the following checkbox (optional)

• DoVoid

To set up for the Authorize Only option and process Charges for an order in the cart, select the following checkbox (optional)

• DoCapture

Once you are finished, Click "Submit".
