How do I upload files to an ImageCafé® website?

To upload files to your Web site: 

  1. Log in to ImageCafé®
  2. Click on the Web Site Pages tab and then select your page from the Edit This Page button
  3. Select the building block where you want to add the file and click on Insert Item
  4. Select a radio button for the type of file you would like to add:
  • Documents (.doc, .pdf, .ppt, .xls, .zip, .sit) – click on the Continue button then go to Step 5
  • Flash/Shockwave (.swf) – click on the Continue button then go to Step 8
  • Multimedia (.mov, .mpeg, .avi, .mp3, .ra, .rm, .wav, .wmv, .3gp, .asf, .asx, .mp4, .mpg, .rm) – click on the Continue button

    5. Under Choose a File From select either My computer – to upload a file from your computer, or Photos and Files – to access a file previously stored
        in the Photo and Files area
6. Select the check box next to the way you want the file displayed on your Web site:

  • Text with a link – type the text you want displayed in the text box
  •  Icon with a link – select the radio button under the specific icon you want displayed
  •  Embed/ Stream – select the radio button for the Video or Audio only and then select the radio button for the display size.

     7.      Click on the Save Changes button to ensure that your new file has been saved 
     8.      Click on the Publish button in the top navigation bar to publish your changes to the Internet

Note: You can upload as many files as you’d like to each page, however there are limits to the size of the individual files. The limitations are:

  • Images, Graphics or Documents (.gif, .jpg, .doc, .ppt, .xls, .pdf) - maximum file size allowed 5BM.
  • Multimedia, Compressed, and Flash or Shockwave files (.swf, .mov, .mpeg, .avi, .mp3, .ra, .rm, .wav, .wmv, .sit, and .zip files) - maximum file size allowed 15MB. 

Be sure to check the file size to make sure it is within the limits before trying an upload. If the file exceeds the maximum size specified, you will receive an error message.
