Most IMAP clients have a feature that lets you copy messages to your local computer. To do this, please refer to your specific client. You can leave e-mail and attachments on the server; however, you may have storage limitations.

For optimal performance, you should set your current e-mail software to check for new messages every 5 minutes. With IMAP, you have the flexibility to access your e-mail from a desktop computer at work, from a laptop in an airport or coffee house, or browsing online from your home computer.
