Miva Merchant is a pre-packaged dynamic browser based storefront development and management system. It allows you to create a shopping cart, online catalogs and a credit card processing system for your e-commerce business.

To set up Miva Merchant:

1. Access the Hosting Control Panel

2. Click on the E-Commerce button then click on Miva Shopping Cart

3 Click on the Enable button

4. Click on the Miva Setup button

5. Read the information provided and then click on the Next button

6. Read the License Agreement and if you accept the terms and conditions, verify the check box is selected then click on the Next button

7. The Miva license number will be pre-populated

8. Click on the Next button

9. Type your information in the text boxes provided – the bolded fields are required, then click on the Next button

10. Type the username in the User Name text box

11. Type the password in the Password text box and type it again in the Verify Password text box

12. Click on the Next button

13. Verify your information is correct then click on the Finish button

Your Miva Merchant is now set up and you are ready to create your storefront:

1. Access the Hosting Control Panel

2. Click on the E-Commerce button then click on Miva Shopping Cart

3. Click on the Miva Login button

4. In the appropriate text boxes, type the User Name and Password you created when setting up your Miva Merchant then click on the Login button

5. Read the welcome message then click on the Continue button then click on the Next button

6. Type the name you want to use for your store in the Store Name text box then click on the Next button

7. Verify your contact information is correct, make any changes necessary then click on the Next button

8. Type a starting order number is the First Order text box – orders placed at your store will be numbered sequentially from this number, then click on the Next button

9. Select the radio button next to the store layout you want to use for your online store, then click on the Next button

10. Verify the information you have provided then click on the Finish button

You are now ready to identify the store’s categories and products, set up payment and shipping options and configure the store’s look and feel.
