How to Manage Site Properties Video

Managing Your Website Properties

With the Website Builder Tool, you can easily manage your global site settings such as passwords for restricting access to your site and SEO elements, including page titles, descriptions and keywords.

To access your website properties, click the Site Properties button at the top of the Website Overview page.

In the Site Properties popup, you can:

·       View and edit your website name that typically appears in the header of all pages on your site.

·       View the URL where your website is published.

·       View the last date and time when you website was published.

The title, description and keywords that you entered for your website during the setup process will appear in the Website Properties popup. You can modify this information here or enter the SEO elements individually for each of your pages using the Page Properties feature.

If you operate a local business, you can specify the primary business location, including city and state, and up to four additional locations where you provide services. This information will be used to optimize your website for local search results.

Use the Password Protection option in the left panel of the Website Properties popup to enable password protection for the entire website.

By default, password protection is disabled for your website. To restrict access to the site, select the Password Protect All Pages option on the Password Protection screen. In the Manage User Access area, enter usernames and passwords for visitors who will be allowed to access your site. You will be required to add, at least, one visitor to the list.

Keep in mind that enabling password protection for the entire website will override the password restrictions that you may have set up at the individual page level.

Click Save and Apply to store your changes. As usual, make sure to publish your website for the latest site settings to take effect.
