After performing a Ping a Traceroute is often performed to further troubleshoot problems the routing on your Internet connection. To perform a traceroute:

1. At the command prompt type:

tracert www.yourdomain.com

where “yourdomain” is the domain name for your Web site

2. You should see the following response:

If you successfully perform a traceroute but still cannot view your Web site online, please contact Network Solutions Technical Support at 1.866.391.HELP to further troubleshoot the problem. Have the following information available:

• Your domain name
• Impacted connections (browsing, FTP, e-mail, etc)
• Ping results
• Traceroute results
• Exact error message or result you're encountering
• Can you connect to your account by numeric IP number
• Does the problem occur if you try to connect through a different ISP (if you have another computer connected to a different ISP)
• Is the problem consistent or sporadic
• How long you have been experiencing the problem
• If the problem is browser specific (e.g. works with Internet Explorer, but not Netscape, or vice-versa)
