How To Purchase An nsHosting Shared Package To Use With An Existing Network Solutions Registered Domain Name
Network Solutions makes it affordable to host your Web site and offers three different packages depending on your needs.
To purchase Web Hosting for a an existing Network Solutions registered domain name:
1. Log in to Account Manager How To Log In To Account Manager
2. If you have more than one domain name, you will first need to click on the domain name for which you want to purchase Web Hosting
3. In the Add Products and Services section select the Web Hosting package you want to purchase from the Add Web Hosting drop down menu then click on the Add Services button
4. Select the term period you would like to purchase in the drop down menu (if you change the term from the default, please click on the Recalculate button) then click on the Proceed To Purchase button
5. Type your credit card information in the text boxes
6. To ensure you don't miss any e-mail messages, select the check box I would like my new service(s) to Auto Renew
7. Click on the link to read the Network Solutions Service Agreement and when completed select the check box then click on the Submit Order button
Now that you've purchased your Web Hosting package, you need to assign the domain name to the hosting package:
8. Click on the Account Manager button
9. In the Services Assigned to this Account section, click on the Hosting package you just purchased
10. In the Assigned Domain Names section, click on the Assign Domains button
11. From the Domain Name drop down menu, select the domain name you want to assign to your Hosting package
12. From the Points to drop down menu select / to point the domain to the root directory then click on the Continue button
13. A confirmation page will appear verifying that your domain name has been assigned to the Hosting Package and providing the directory to which the domain name will resolve, review the information carefully then click on the Continue button
Your domain name has now been assigned to the Web Hosting Package.
Note If you have just moved your domain name to Network Solutions DNS servers, it will take approximately 24-72 hours for the domain name information to propagate to servers world-wide. Once the propagation process is complete and you've published your Web site, it will be viewable on the Internet.
Only the Account Holder / Primary Contact and Administrative Contact of record, on the account, can purchase or renew services for the domain name. The Technical Contact on the account cannot purchase or renew services.
