How To Purchase Private Registration For A New Domain Name

Private Registration populates the public WHOIS listing for your domain name registration with alternate contact information for e-mail address, postal address and phone number.

To purchase Private Registration for a new domain name:

1.     Go http://www.networksolutions.com

2.     Hover over Domain Names and choosePrivate Registration from the drop down menu

3.     In the New Customer section click on Search for a new domain

4.     Step 1: Enter up to 10 names

5.     Step 2: Choose one or more extensions

6.     Step 3: Click Go

7.     If your requested domain name is available it will be listed in the search results and you will also see different extensions available

8.     Select the check box next to the domain name and extension you want to register and click on Add Selected to Cart

9.     Select Make Private for the Domains you would like protect, and click Continue

10.   You may be taken to a second screen for additional options, when complete, click on the Continue button

11.   Continue to the shopping cart, select the term periods you would like to purchase, then click on Secure Checkout

Once you complete the purchase process, Private Registration has been enabled for your domain name(s).

For newly registered domain names, it may take up to 12–36 hours for the domain name information to propagate to servers world-wide.
