How To Set Up Domain Pointers
To set up a domain pointer for a domain name you have registered at Network Solutions®:
1. Go to www.networksolutions.com
2. Click the Manage Account tab at the top right corner of your screen.

3. Enter the User ID and password you created during your Web hosting purchase. If you've forgotten your log-in information, please visit: https://www.networksolutions.com/manage-it/forget-login.jsp. 
4. Click on My Products & Services tab. 
5. Click on the My Hosting Packages hyperlink. If you have more than one Web Hosting package, select the package you need to update to edit from the list of hosting packages.
6. Click on the Assign/Edit Your Domain icon
7. Click the Assign New tab to select the domain name you would like to point.
8. From the Domain Name drop down menu select the domain you want to point.
Note: If you wish to set up a Subdomain in the text box to the left of the domain name dropdown you can type the desired address.
9. From the Directory drop down menu select the directory to which you want to point the domain name to. The default directory is /htdocs. If you have uploaded your site to a subfolder, please select that specific folder here. (On Windows 2008 servers the default directory will be labled "www" and not "htdocs". If you purchased a Windows hosting package after 9/6/2012 you are on a Windows 2008 server.)
10. Click on the Select button to assign the domain name to an existing directory
To create a new directory pointer
A. From the Directory drop down menu select the option for Add directory not listed and then click on the Select tab
B. Type the directory name in the text box then click on the Select button
To set up a domain pointer for a domain name you have registered somewhere other than Network Solutions®:
1. Go to www.networksolutions.com
2. Click the Manage Account tab at the top right corner of your screen.
3. Enter the User ID and password you created during your Web Hosting purchase. If you've forgotten your log-in information, please visit: https://www.networksolutions.com/manage-it/forget-login.jsp. 
4. Click on My Products & Services tab. 
5. Click on the My Hosting Packages hyperlink. If you have more than one Web Hosting package, select the package you need to update to edit from the list of hosting packages. 
6. Click on the Assign/Edit Your Domain icon
7. Click the Assign New tab
8. From the Domain Name drop down menu select Add domain not listed and click on the Select button
9. Type the domain name that you want to assign to your Hosting Package that is not registered with Network Solutions in the Domain Name text box and click on the Select button
10. You will be provided with a screen providing your DNS settings. You will need to provide the nameservers listed to your current domain provider. Print the resource record information by clicking on the Print button.
11. You will need to update the Domain Name Server (DNS) settings listed at your current registrar
