How To use FTP File Publisher
Every Network Solutions Web Hosting Package comes with the ability to use our FTP File Publisher.
To use FTP File Publisher:
1. Go to www.networksolutions.com
2. Click the Manage Account tab at the top right corner of your screen.
3. Enter the User ID and password you created during your Web hosting purchase. If you've forgotten your log-in information, please visit: https://www.networksolutions.com/manage-it/forget-login.jsp. 
4. Click on My Products & Services tab. 
5. Click on the My Hosting Packages hyperlink. If you have more than one Web Hosting package, select the package you need to update. 
6. Click on the Web Hosting Toolbox button
7. Under the FTP & Content Publishing section click on the FTP File Publisher icon
8. Once the page loads click on the Continue button
**NOTE**: Once you click Continue you will see two security warning screens. You can safely select 'Always' to go to your FTP tool.
You can now begin uploading and downloading files with our FTP File Publisher Uploading Files and Folders 1. Locate the files you want to upload by searching for it in the local computer window. Please Note: If you want to upload multiple files or folders, hold the CTRL button down while making your selections. 3. Go to the remote server window. Please Note: The htdocs or www folder (directory) is used to upload and transfer files and folders pertaining to your Web site. 5. Click Upload to move the file(s) from your local computer to the remote server. The file(s) will appear in the remote server window, but a copy will remain in the local computer window. Downloading Files and Folders 1. Click on a file or folder in the remote server window. Please Note: If you want to upload multiple files or folders, hold the CTRL button down while making your selections. 2. Select a folder in your local computer window where the file(s) will be stored. Please Note: You can also upload and download files and folders by clicking and dragging files from one window to the other. Make sure you drag the file to the correct folder (directory) so you don't misplace it. Managing Files and Folders The following functions are available for both your local computer and remote server windows: · Delete · Open · Refresh · Rename · ChangeDir · MakeDir Delete To delete a file or folder, highlight the file or folder and click Delete. Click Ok to make this change permanent. Open To open a file or folder, highlight the file or folder and click Open. Refresh To refresh local computer or remote server windows, click Refresh. Rename To rename a file or folder, highlight the file or folder and click Rename. Type in the new name of the file or folder and click Ok. ChangeDir Folders are also known as directories. To view a new folder (directory) and its contents: 1. Highlight the file or folder. MakeDir To create a new folder (directory): 1. Click MakeDir. Please Note: If you want to add a new directory to another directory, highlight the existing folder (directory) first so the new directory can be placed inside. Resetting Permissions If you are unable to upload or transfer files and folders, you may need to reset your file permissions. You may need to click on My Documents or Desktop depending on where files are stored.
If you want to search a specific drive, use the drop-down menu above the left window.
2. Click on the file you want to upload.
4. Select htdocs (On Windows 2008 servers this folder will be labled "www". If you purchased a Windows hosting package after 9/6/2012 you are on a Windows 2008 server.) and click Open.
3. Click Download.
The file(s) will appear in the local computer window, but a copy will remain in the remote server window.

3. Type in the name of the folder (directory) you want to view.
