Iphone Mail Client Setup
*Please Note*
Many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have recently begun blocking port 25. If port 25 does not work for you, try using server port 2525 as an outgoing server.
Iphone:
This tutorial will take you through the step by step process of setting up your Network Solutions email with your iphone
1. On your iphone home screen tap the settings icon
2. Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars
3. Tap on Add Account
4. Tap on Other
5. Enter this information:
6. Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing messages.
7. Email Address: Enter your full mail address (e.g., john@example.com).
8. Password: Enter your password.
9. Enter in a description of this account
10. Tap Save
11. Tap POP tab
12. Tap Incoming Mail Server
13. Enter this information:
1. For your Incoming mail server (POP3): type "mail" followed by your domain name (e.g. mail.example.com)
14. User Name: Enter your full email address
15. Password: Enter your password
16. Scroll down and enter this information
17. For your Outgoing mail server (SMTP): type "smtp." followed by your domain name (e.g. smtp.example.com)
18. User Name: Enter your full email address
19. Password: Enter your password
20. Tap Save
21. If a screen comes up that says “Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL: Tap No
22. Tap Save
23. Tap Save
24. Tap on your email account
25. Tap on SMTP
26. Tap on the Primary Server box
27. Tap on the button with the Use SSL to turn it off
1. Tap on the server port and Change your outgoing server setting to 2525 or 587
28. Tap the SMTP tab in the upper left to go back
29. Tap the name you have given the account tab in the upper left to go back
30. Tap the advanced box
31. Tap on the button with the Use SSL to turn it off
32. Make sure the Server Port is 110, if not please enter it
33. Tap the name you have given the account tab in the upper left to go back
34. Tap the mail tab in the upper left corner to go back to you mail settings
Push the home button to finish
