MessageGuard® Features
- Easy to use - Displays a Send Secure button on your Network Solutions® Webmail toolbar, so sending an encrypted e-mail message is as simple as clicking a button.
- Anyone can receive - Sends secure e-mail messages to anyone, even non-MessageGuard subscribers, regardless of their e-mail service provider.
- User friendly - Allows recipients to open MessageGuard secure e-mail with ease, No need to exchange security keys, certificates or passwords.
- Flexible - Lets you choose which e-mails to send securely. You retain the option to send conventional, unencrypted e-mail.
- Industry compliance - Can assist you in meeting the e-mail regulatory requirements of HIPAA, GLBA, California SB-1386, & Sarbanes-Oxley.
- State of the art - Utilizes new user-friendly Identity Based Encryption (IBE) key protection as well as industry standard Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
- No special software required - Works with Network Solutions® Webmail, Outlook®, and Outlook® Express.
Setting Up MessageGuard®
In order to begin using MessageGuard you must first log in to Account Manager to configure your subscription(s). Follow the steps below.
- Log in to Account Manager
- Next, click the You Have Updates & Alerts link in the top navigation
- In the "Configure Purchases" section, click the Go button for Unassigned MessageGuard.
- In the "Unassigned MessageGuard Services" section, click Assign to E-Mailboxes link.
- Enter and confirm the e-mail address for each MessageGuard you are setting up.
- Click Save to complete the process.
Setting Up for External E-Mail Services
If you are using Network Solutions Webmail as your only e-mail interface, you are done. If, however, you use an external e-mail service such as Outlook® or Outlook Express in addition to Webmail you'll also need to download and install the Outlook® plug-in for each of your subscriptions.
To download and install the plug-in(s) to use with Outlook® or Outlook Express:
- Click My Products & Services in the top navigation
- Next select My Email below
- In the "E-Mail Services" section, click Manage in the MessageGuard line.
- In the "Assigned MessageGuard Services" section, click on the configured MessageGuard subscription you wish to access (your subscription(s) will appear as a link).
- Click Download plug-in.
- Follow the "Plug-in Download & Installation Instructions" on the screen.
