goMobi 1.5 Release Notes
Introduction
The mobile website software was updated on December 5, 22011. The objective of this document is to provide information on the 1.5 release to end-users.
The 1.5 release is a minor release, which includes a number of changes and additions based on feedback from the market and end-users.
QR Code feature
Site owners now have the option to generate and download QR codes and/or QR Code PDF Flyer to point to any page on their goMobi site not just the home page.
- Select from a drop down list of features added to the site to generate the QR Code and/or PDF Flyer [image 3]
- Visits to the goMobi site via QR Codes are tracked in the Analytics feature
- QR codes now contains a shortlink (e.g. http://g0g0.mobi/q/U99Rp) which is based on the site subscription ID and therefore is independent of the domain name [in case the domain name of the site is changed at any point]
- Note: This feature can be turned off by request

Site Description text
Site Description text added to a goMobi site will now be displayed on the home page of the site only [under the logo].
Previously it was repeated at the top of each page of the site taking up valuable real estate.

A 300 character limit has been applied to the Site Description text field. Once the limit is reached the user will be restricted from adding more text. A character counter is displayed under the text field which is highlighted in red when there are less than 10 characters remaining [image 3 below].

Additional Site Color Options
Additional color options have been added to the 'Options' area of the 'Site Color' feature. The color of all page elements can now be set individually, by choosing a color from a color picker or alternatively adding a hex code directly into each color panel.

'Click to call' icon added to site header
For improved usability a 'Click-to-call' icon has been added to the header on facade sub-pages. This enables site visitors to easily contact the business from any area within the goMobi site with just one click.

Find Us feature
The Find Us feature now has an improved look on Smartphones. Locations are displayed in a compact format on the façade with touch enabled maps. If multiple locations are added a Google map and address are displayed on the same page [image 2 below]. When the 'Get Directions' button or locations icon is clicked a dialog box will be displayed with location options for the visitor to choose from [see image 3]. On mid and low end devices the user will be presented with fields to enter their starting location.

- Distance and directions compass now displayed on the directions page [image 4]

In the Control Panel when adding a location via the Find Us feature, the site owner has the option to specify their exact location by using a drop pin on a Google map. Users click on the drop pin icon on the address form panel [image 1 below] which switches to map view where they can reposition the pin to their exact location. To return to the form view click on the back icon [image 2 below]

Calendar added to date formats
To simplify the process of selecting dates on features that have a date format such as the Coupons and the Event Calendar features, a date picker [and icon] has been added. When the icon is clicked a calendar is displayed to select the date required.
The selected date is then populated in the date field.
- Date can be entered directly into date field
- Date format remains unchanged and are displayed as DD-MM-YYYY [for China YYYY-MM-DD]

Additional WYSIWYG editor tools
Additional tools have been added to the WYSIWYG editor to provide more functionality when creating site content. The
WYSIWYG editor is available on text areas in features such as the Products, Services, and About Us etc.
- Image options include: insert image from previously uploaded images, upload a new image or add a link to an image hosted elsewhere.
- Text options include: changing size and color, inserting bullet points, underlining text, highlighting text
- The 'Source' field has been enlarged for Designer/Developers that want to add code directly into the page content

Additional Time zones
We have expanded the drop down list of time zones in the 'Language & Region' feature in the Design area to include time zones that are offset by a half-hour.
Form feature
Site Owners can now create custom forms to suit their business needs. They can customize the form name, add a brief description to appear on the top of the form, add email address [for submitted form details], and add confirmation page text [via the Options area]. To add form fields click on the +Add form fields link [see image 1 below] and select from a drop down list of options [image 3 below].
- Each form added will appear as a separate page on the site [and can have its own name and icon]
- Users can set the form name, change the icon, add page description text to appear above the form
- Confirmation page text can be added in the 'Options' area of each form [image 2 below]. This text is displayed to the visitor when the form is submitted.
- When the +Add form fields link is clicked a lightbox opens to add form fields [image 3 below]
- The form, when submitted will get emailed to the site owner, the name of form set by the site owner will appear in the subject line of the email

Additional site templates
In order to provide more design options, new templates have been added to the theme panel in the Design area of the Control Panel. Left and right arrows are provided to move through the different template and icon options.
- If no template is selected the site layout will default to icon grid template
- If an icon set is not selected the default to icon set will be used
- First select a template [step 1] and then select an icon set [step 2]
- Template and icon set selected will be highlighted in red [see image 2 below] and will be displayed in site preview

Additional icon sets
Seven [7] additional icons sets have been added to the' Theme' feature in the Design area. New icon sets will function exactly the same way as the current sets. The icon set selected will be highlighted with a red border [see image 2 above]. There are now 11 icons sets to choose from.

- If no icon set is selected the default to icon set will be applied to those templates that use icons [see image]
Video feature
Site owners can now link and display multiple YouTube videos or YouTube playlists/channel lists. Multiple videos and playlists can be added to display on one page or multiple video pages. Currently only YouTube videos are supported.
- Site owners can link to one [1] or multiple YouTube videos or playlists
- Videos can be displayed Videos can be displayed as a list or individually
- Video and description [as on YouTube] will be displayed on the site facade
- Click on video on façade to play

Reviews feature
Site owners can display their business reviews and testimonials directly from Yelp and Foursquare. Select the review site from a drop down list and add the URL of the reviews page. The top five [5] reviews from the site will be displayed. A 'read more' link to the review site is provided under the review listings, when clicked this will bring the visitor to the review site.
- Display reviews from Yelp or Foursquare
- The top five [5] reviews from each site will be displayed
- Reviews will be listed in the order added to the site
- This feature will be listed under the Event Calendar Feature on the Control Panel

Shopping Cart/mCommerce option added to Products feature
A third option has been added to the Product feature which allows site owners to create a shopping cart of products to sell via their goMobi site. A maximum of 16 products can be added to the site where PayPal and /or Google Checkout can be selected as the payment gateway
- Up 16 products can be added to the site
- Payments are processed via PayPal and/or Google Checkout
- All products have to be listed in the same currency
- You can add an image, name, price and description for each product
- Setting up the shopping cart is done in a 3 steps process
- Step 1: Enter overview of products [text you want to appear at the top of your products page]
- Step 2: Enter PayPal and/or Google Check out Merchant ID and select currency
- Step 3: Click 'Add Items' link to add products [light box window opens - see image 4 below]
- Product shipping cost cannot be added separately and must be included in the product price displayed on the site

Site Façade

Cart

Redirection code generator
The site owner can now generate redirection code from the Control Panel. This code can be inserted into their desktop site to provide automatic redirection of traffic from mobile devices. The code will automatically use the mobile site URL. Redirection code generator can be accessed by clicking on the Green Finish button in the Control Panel [see image 1 below] or in the Advanced panel of the feature list. Code Options include:
- JSP
- PHP
- ASP
- JavaScript

Introduction
The mobile website software was updated on July 10, 22011. The objective of this document is to provide information on the 1.4 release to end-users.
The 1.4 release is a minor release, which includes a number of changes and additions based on feedback from the market and end-users.
Feature Enhancements
Time zone added to Language & Region feature
In order for the Event Calendar, Opening Hours and Coupons features to work correctly the user needs to select the time-zone for their business. Instead of requiring a user to select the time-zone for each of these features individually a time-zone dropdown drop down list has been added to the 'Language & Region' feature in the Design area of the Setup Assistant.
- The selected time-zone will be displayed at the top of each the features that require it.
- The time-zone displayed on each feature will link to the 'Language & Region' feature to make it easier to select to change it.
- Features cannot have different time-zones
Note: The feature has been renamed from Language to Language & Region

Additional Site Colors functionality
An options panel has been added to the 'Background' feature in the Design area of the Setup Assistant to provide more site color choices for goMobi sites. Colors for the site background, text and titles can be selected from choosing a color from a color picker or alternatively adding a hex code directly into the color panel.
- When a color panel on the options panel is clicked on a 'color picker' is displayed
- A hex code can also be typed directly into each color panel.
- Colors chosen will be displayed is the color panel
Note: The feature has been renamed to from Background to Site Colors

'Home' link on goMobi facade
The '<<home' link on the header of the façade sub-pages of goMobi sites has been replaced with an icon to improve visibility and usability.

Date Format modification
The date format used on site features has been changed to a universal date format e.g. 12, February, 2011 [old date format mm/dd/yyyy]. This will format has been updated on the following features - Booking Request, Coupons and Event Calendar.
In-site display of Facebook and Twitter pages
On high end devices content from Facebook and Twitter pages will be displayed within the goMobi site styled pages - view example - http://sf.ad-tech.mobi. This will only work on devices that support JS and iframes, for all other devices the site visitor will be sent to the mobile version of these sites as is the current behavior.
Full URL support added to Facebook feature
In additional to the vanity username the Facebook feature will also accept the full URL of the Facebook page.
Phone Number included in 'Find Us' Feature
A new phone number field has been added to the 'Find Us' feature. The phone number will be displayed under the address on the 'Find Us' façade page to make it easier for the site visitor to contact the business.
'Booking Request' feature enhancement
- An additional URL field has been added to the 'Booking Request' feature to allow site owners to link to a 3rd party booking site that they may have on their desktop site
- In additional to an email field, a phone number field has been added to all standard booking request forms displayed to the site visitor.
'Tell a Friend' feature enhancement
To provide more 'sharing' options to site visitors Facebook, and Twitter sharing options have been added to the 'Tell a Friend' feature. When the feature is selected on the facade and interstitial page will be displayed with SMS, Email, Facebook, and Twitter options for the site visitor to choose from. Device Detection is utilized to determine which options to present to the site visitor as not all devices have the same capabilities.
'Leave a message' feature enhancement
Phone number field has been added to 'Leave a Message' feature to give the site visitor alternatives on how they want to be contacted by the site owner [Phone or email].
'Share' functionality
Site owners can now add 'Share' functionality to the following features in order for site visitors to SMS, email,
Facebook or Twitter specific content from the site:
- Coupons
- Products
- Services
- About Us
- Leave a message
- Booking Request
- Opening Hours
- Images
- Create page
- Keep me Informed
- The 'Share' functionality is NOT added by default to each of the above features; the option to 'Share' is activated
- via the Options area within each feature.
- The 'Share' icons can be added to multiples of the same feature such as coupons etc.
- The 'Share' options include SMS, Email, Facebook, and Twitter.
- On the site facade the 'Share' icons are displayed at the bottom of the content.
- Device Detection is utilized to determine which options to present to the site visitor as not all devices have the same capabilities.
'Local Connect' feature - Location based services
Location based services let customers to tell their friends about their favorite business and services, driving awareness within the local community. Site owners can add links/icons to the façade of their goMobi sites to their Foursquare, Facebook Places, Gowalla, yelp and Google Places pages.
The site owner can either enter the URL of their LBS business page or if they have already added their address to the 'Find us' feature a link to a list of venues on that LBS that match that address will be displayed on a page and the site owner can claim their venue [this URL will be automatically populated in the URL field]
- To claim an already existing venue from a LBS site the 'Find us' feature needs to be activated.
- The LBS that has been added will appear as an icon on the site façade.
- The site owner will receive an email?

'QR Code' feature
A feature called 'QR Code' has been added to the Features area of the Setup Assistant. Site Owners can and download a printable flyer in PDF format with a QR code; site URL and an image of their mobile site to help drive traffic to their mobile website.
- The QR code is generated using the URL of the site and the URL will also be displayed under the QR code.
- Text on the flyer is editable so that the Site Owner can customize it if they so choose.
- Default language of flyer will be the Setup Assistant Language; if CP language is changed then the flyer will reflect the changed language.
- Site owner can also download the standalone QR code.
- The goMobi logo is removed if branding is suppressed, both on an end customer or reseller level.

goMobi site Analytics
Site owners can now see how much traffic is coming to their mobile site, where it is coming from, the most popular features, what devices their customers are using and much more within the new Analytics Tool.
- The site analytics data can be viewed via the Analytics tab next to Features tab in the Setup Assistant.
- Traffic data can be viewed by day, week, and month and customized with the date slider.
- Data can be exported in CSV format.
- Monthly data will be stored for the term of the subscription and daily data will be stored for a 3 months period.
- Data will be maintained for subscriptions that are in grace period or suspend period.
- Data is aggregated at the end of each day.

Multiple Locations and Coupons
Site owners will have the ability to add multiple coupons and locations. The 'Find Us' and 'Coupon' feature will be expanded to allow a site owner to add up to 4 locations and 4 coupons.
- The site owner will add and manage the multiples of the same feature via the main feature in the Setup Assistant.
- On the site façade multiples of the same feature will be displayed within the same page .
- Each 'Find Us' or 'Coupons' feature cannot be displayed as a separate icon on the façade.
Note: Additions to the Configuration API are required for multiple 'Find Us' and 'Coupon' features.
Image gallery
An image gallery has been added to the 'Images' feature so that site owners can choose to upload images to create an image gallery or link to an external image gallery such as Flickr.
- A limit of 16 images can be uploaded.
- A description can be added to each image.
- Images can be added, edited and deleted from the Images feature.
- Images can be displayed in a grid or list format on the site façade.
- RSS Feeds to external gallery will also be displayed within goMobi styled pages.
Note: Images cannot be added to any other feature at this time.

Bookmark site on high end devices
An 'app like' icon of the site logo will be generated when the site is book marked on a high end device. If the site does not have a logo then a snapshot of the home page will be used.

Additional icons sets have been added to the' Theme' feature in the Design area to provide more variations for sites. New icon sets will function exactly the same way as the current sets.
