Setup Guide: SharePoint® Hosting 

Thank you for choosing Network Solutions for your SharePoint® hosting needs.

This document contains information to help you start using your Web Hosting SharePoint® package today.  We recommend that you either print a copy of this message or save a copy of it for future reference.

Your new SharePoint® Hosting package provides a cost-effective way to set up a collaborative environment that allows employee work teams in different locations to stay connected with access to shared resources.

Web Hosting SharePoint® Features

Setting Up Your SharePoint® Site

Follow these steps to start setting up your SharePoint® site:

Step 1: Access your account

Use the Account Manager tab located in the upper right corner of the Network Solutions home page:

Step 2: Change your default password

After logging in to the Account Manager, click on the "SharePoint" button and step through the SharePoint password change. After this, you should be ready to go.

Step 3: Logging into SharePoint

Once you have changed your main user login password, your main user login name will be displayed. You may use this user login and the password you entered to log into your SharePoint site by clicking on the "Login to SharePoint" button in the SharePoint administration section.

Step 3: Set up your e-mail

Now that your SharePoint site is live, you will want to setup an e-mail address for customer correspondence.

  • While logged into Account Manager, click "My Email".
  • On the "E-Mail Services" page, under "Manage All E-Mail Services" click Assign to Domains for the e-mail service you are setting up. Note: If you have more than one e-mail service, they will all be listed here; select the Assign action in the appropriate line.)
  • From here you can personalize your e-mailboxes and assign passwords.
  • If your package includes a Catch-All E-Mail address, click Assign to Domains in the Catch-All line.
  • Click Save and Continue to complete the process.

    Once you've set up your e-mail, you can access your mailboxes via Network Solutions® Webmail: http://mail."your domain name".
