No, you do not need to transfer your domain to buy our Web Hosting package. However we recommend that you transfer your domain so in case an problem does occur, our agents will have the ability to do what they need to do in order to fix the problem without having to involve a third party. When you purchase a new hosting package, your domain transfer is free. In addition, the domain name transfer automatically includes any remaining years on your current registration term, plus one additional year.

How do I register a domain name?

You have lots of flexibility in creating your domain name. Choose a combination of letters, numbers and/or hyphens (they can't appear at the beginning or end of the domain name).

• Go to http://www.networksolutions.com/domain-name-registration/
• Enter your desired name into the text box under step 1
• Select the desired extension for your domain
• Click search

You can have up to 67 characters in your domain name, including the extension (e.g., .com, .net, .org). However, most users prefer easy to remember domain names that are simple to type and remember.

Note: www. and http://www. are not considered part of the domain name and do not count towards the 67 character maximum. Characters that are never permitted in a domain name include spaces and special characters, e.g. @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) ?
