You may use the following AstraSync® User guides to set up your BlackBerry®

    You will need the following information during set-up:

  • Your domain
  • Your email address
  • Your email password
  • The server address will be mail.<yourdomain >.<yourextension>; e.g.
  • You will not be asked for the pin during set-up but will be prompted for it within 24 hours.


If you don't have the SMS that contains the link to download the BlackBerry ® software you can paste the following link into your browser to download the software to your BlackBerry®:



Or you can regenerate the SMS by going into Account Manager Details for the mailbox

-          Make sure the correct phone number appears in the box under the "Manage Mobile Email Phone Number". "Click "Save Changes". This will generate a new SMS to the phone.


    Here are some suggestions for improving your experience

  • Choose "manual setup" when configuring so that you can enter the server as mail.<yourdomain >.<yourextension>.
  • Choose "Pull" for the email delivery option
  • Choose "Use SSL" when configuring the mailbox.

**Note: To use SSL you will get a mismatched certificate error. You will have to ignore/accept this warning.

     To minimize battery drain:

  • Request less frequent polling; e.g. 30 minutes instead of 15.





Setting Up ActiveSync on an Android Device


 When you get to the section that allows you to setup new email, you will be asked to choose what type of email account you are trying to setup.




After you select Corporate, you will want to fill out your email address and password and select Manual Setup.



When you select Manual setup it will ask you for your domain\username. The domain will be the full domain name (ex. then you will type \ and the username which is the part of your email that comes before the @ sign. So if your email address is you will enter it like this:



***Note: When you select the Use secure connection box, you will get a mismatched certificate error, in order for your email to function properly you must ignore/accept this message.

Once you have entered these settings you will be taken to a page where you can choose your preferences such as how long a message is stored on the server before it deletes, how often your device syncs with the server, etc.




Setting Up ActiveSync on an iPhone


In order to setup your ActiveSync on your iPhone you will want to click Settings, Mail Contacts Calendars, Add Account, Microsoft Exchange.




Once you click Microsoft Exchange, you will be asked to enter your email address, password, and description.



After you enter these details click "Next". You will be asked for your Email, Server, Domain, Username, and Password.



The next screen will allow you to select your preferences on what you want to sync between your webmail and your iPhone.



Once you hit save and adjust your preferences, your ActiveSync will be configured and you will be ready to use your email on your iPhone.
