Mailbox Setup / Configuration
Setup Mobility
If you have purchased storage, no set-up is required.
You may use the following AstraSync® User guides to set up your BlackBerry®

- You will need the following information during set-up:
o Your domain
o Your email address
o Your email password
o The server address will be mail.<yourdomain >.<yourextension>; e.g. mail.pugcostumes.biz
o You will not be asked for the pin during set-up but, will be prompted for it within 24 hours.
- Here are some suggestions for improving your experience
- Choose “manual setup” when configuring so that you can enter the server as mail.<yourdomain >.<yourextension>.
- Choose “Pull” for the email delivery option
- If you choose “Use SSL” when configuring the mailbox, you will get a mismatched certificate warning. To use SSL you will have to ignore/accept this warning.
- To minimize battery drain:
- Choose the "pull" email option
- Request less frequent polling; e.g. 30 minutes instead of 15
- If you don’t have the SMS that contains the link to download the BlackBerry ® software
- You can paste the following link into your browser to download the software to your BlackBerry®
- m.astrasync.com
- Or you can regenerate the SMS by going into Account Manager Details for the emailbox
- Make sure the correct phone number appears in the box under the "Manage Mobile Email Phone Number"
- Click "Save Changes". This will generate a new SMS to the phone.
- You can paste the following link into your browser to download the software to your BlackBerry®

o Or “Corporate Sync” for your Droid®
