Traffic Sources

Overview

The traffic sources overview page tells you how people find your site.  The source is the method by which your customer came to your website.  Direct navigation means a person directly types in your domain name into their browser or uses a browser bookmark.  Other search engines are named under sources to show you which one brings you the most traffic.

The source type is Organic, meaning your website was listed organically in the named source search engine, or Direct Navigation, meaning a person directly typed your domain name into their browser or used a browser bookmark.

Pageviews is the total of the number of pages all of the visitors on your site have viewed.  Conversions are the number of people who have taken a predetermined action on your site - i.e. filling out a form, sending an email, buying a product.

The data in this table is sorted by conversions as the default, but click on any column header to sort other ways.
