Web Part Support

nsHosting™ SharePoint® sites come with the following Web Parts:

  • Calendar Web Part: Add a calendar to your site.
  • Content Editor Web Part: Use for formatted text, tables, and images.
  • Form Web Part: Use to connect simple form controls to other Web Parts.
  • Image Upload Web Part: Allows site members to upload and display images on web part pages.
  • Image Web Part: Use to display pictures and photos.
  • Page Viewer Web Part: Use to display linked content, such as files, folders, or Web Pages. The linked content is isolated from other content on the Web Part Page.
  • Polling Web Part: Easily poll your end users.
  • Relevant Documents: Use this webpart to display documents that are relevant to the current user.
  • RSS Reader Web Part: You can use this webpart to read and present your RSS feeds on your SharePoint sites.
  • Site Users: Use the Site Users Web Part to see a list of the site users and their online status.
  • User Tasks: Use this webpart to display tasks that are assigned to the current user.
  • XML Web Part: Use for XML, and XSL Transformation of the XML.

Installing custom web parts is not possible, as your nsHosting™ SharePoint® site is on a shared environment and server access is required for this.

To add one of the above Web Parts, navigate to the page on your SharePoint site that you would like to add it to, click on the "Site Actions" tab, then "Edit Page".

You will now see options to add Web Parts on your screen. Choose the "Add a Web Part" link where you would like to add the Web Part. You will then see the above list, and you can select the approriate Web Part and add it.
