Required Information

Our Website Move service, provided by our MyTime Support™ Team, transfers your website (including database if built) from an existing hosting package to a Network Solutions® hosting package. 

In order to complete the service, we must receive information on the following:

• Name of your current hosting provider.
• Name of the Network Solutions hosting package to which the site is being moved.
• Is the website built in ASP, PHP, or HTML (see special note below)?
• Complete FTP information from your current hosting provider. This includes: host name, user ID, and password.
• Database file location or database server connection details.
  • If the database is MySQL, you must provide cPanel access details or a link to phpMyAdmin.
  • If the database is MSSQL, you must export a backup copy of the database and upload it via FTP to your current host or to Network Solutions.
• The type of content management system on the site, if any (e.g. Joomla, Wordpress, etc.).
• A list of domain names that need to be pointed to the transferred website files.
• A listing of up to 10 new emailboxes to setup on the new site (optional).

Service Details

Please note the following regarding this service:

• This service will move your existing website from one host to another. It will not address or fix any issues with your current site.
• Site moves cannot be completed if the site has been programmed in ColdFusion.
• It is generally not possible to move a site built on a third-party proprietary system. 
• Site moves require that the Network Solutions hosting package is compatible with the file types used on the existing site.  If you have questions regarding the compatibility of your hosting package with your current site, we are happy to assist with your questions.
