What are the mTLD .mobi website standards?

There are mandatory rules when building a .mobi Website to ensure that users are getting the best viewing experience when using their mobile devices.  mTLD has created a Web Developer Guide with the mandatory rules.

These rules include:

• 1. No frames should be used in the design of the website.
• 2. Visitors to a .mobi site must be able to view a page that is capable of being displayed in their browser. Website owners must use a format that mobile devices support or use an XHTML-Mobile Profile 1.0 or higher.
• 3. The .mobi must work with or without the "www" in the domain name (e.g., www.your-website.mobi and your-website.mobi).

They also have suggested best practices that will make your .mobi website even more user friendly.  Best-practice topics include help on navigation and links, page layout and content, page definition, and user input.
