What is the difference between a visit and a visitor?

Article Rating: 2 / 5 Votes: 8

Visits represent the number of viewing sessions by visitors to your site. A visit starts when a visitor lands on your website. The end of the visit typically occurs when the visitor leaves your site or is inactive for 30 minutes or longer. If a visitor leaves your site and then returns within 30 minutes, this will be counted as one visit. If the user returns after 30 minutes of inactivity, this will count as a new visit from the same visitor.
