What is the Disconnected Mode?Some IMAP clients support a "disconnected mode" or offline mode, which allows you to:
- Save a copy of your IMAP e-mailbox to your local computer
- Disconnect from the network
- Perform any functions that would normally be done while connected (save messages to files, delete messages, reply to messages, send new messages, etc.)
- Reconnect to the network
- Synchronize any functions you performed between the local and remote IMAP e-mailboxes
