Microsoft 365 is a well-known and trusted productivity suite for businesses of all sizes. You may remember it as Office 365; however, they changed their name in April 2020.
Since its founding in 1975, Microsoft has been considered an industry leader. Though the business world looks drastically different than it did in 1975, Microsoft hasn't stopped innovating. They've adapted their powerful suite of business productivity tools to be used any time, anywhere you have an Internet connection (and you can work offline, too).
Before learning the tips that'll help you maximize your productivity with Microsoft 365, let's look at what their suite of tools includes.
Microsoft Office 365 is an integrated experience of apps and services designed to help your business grow. It offers all the tools you know and trust, like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with other essential business programs, like Bookings, to help with your customer scheduling.
Network Solutions offers three different Microsoft 365 packages to suit your specific needs. No matter which package you select, you'll receive automatic updates to ensure you always have the latest version of Microsoft Office.
All Microsoft 365 packages offered by Network Solutions are operable across multiple platforms, so you'll have a great user experience whether you're on a Mac, PC, or occasionally use both systems.
Your Microsoft 365 package can include the following tools and services:
When it comes to boosting productivity, Microsoft 365 reigns supreme.
Collaboration and communication are pivotal to getting more done in today's work environments. With its world-class suite of business productivity tools, Microsoft 365 will have you and your team working together seamlessly from wherever you're located.
Maximize your use of Microsoft Office 365's apps and tools with the tips we're sharing below.
Microsoft Teams is an effective communication tool. With Teams, you can create groups dedicated to specific focuses or projects. You can also make your groups accessible to a select few or your entire organization. Either way, Teams offers you the ability to communicate effectively with your team no matter where you're located. Are you familiar with Skype? While Microsoft may be pulling the plug on Skype, it's including Skype's capabilities as part of the newer Teams platform. You can talk with coworkers in real-time and share your calendars and files all in one place with Microsoft Teams.
Before remote work became the new normal, it wasn't uncommon to turn to the office's resident Excel expert to ask questions about formulas and commands.
Now, there's Tell Me. With Tell Me, you can search for the commands you need. Click "Tell me" from the Excel navigation bar and enter the words or phrases you're searching for. From there, you'll be directed to the command you need, which will be instantly performed.
Ready to shave time off of all the tasks on your to-do list?
Try using keyboard shortcuts. Microsoft offers a multitude of keyboard shortcuts, so don't be hard on yourself if you can't remember them all right away. Keep this documentation handy and make a note of the shortcuts that'll be most relevant to your day-to-day.
Unfortunately, we weren't all gifted with an eye for design.
If you're losing time trying to craft the most eye-catching presentations, try using PowerPoint's AI support. To do so, create a new presentation either in the desktop or web versions of PowerPoint. Then, enter all the presentation details you need across the various slides. Once you've done that, go to the Design tab on the ribbon, and click "Design Ideas." From there, PowerPoint's AI support will generate various design ideas for your presentation for you to choose from.
Save time with your writing by, well, doing less of it.
We aren't suggesting that you do less work, just that you do it a little smarter. If you're losing minutes at the keyboard every day, try using Microsoft 365's Dictate feature. That feature allows you to dictate your text by speaking instead of typing it all out.
You can find the Dictate button on Microsoft Word on the Home tab. In Outlook, click the Message tab when starting a new email and select the Dictate button. When the Dictate icon turns red, you'll know you can start talking, and that speech will turn into text in your document. You'll need to take care to speak clearly, and can insert punctuation by saying what it is you want. For example, you can say "question mark" at the end of a sentence or "start a new paragraph."
As a business professional, you've got a lot on your plate. Microsoft 365 can help you manage your tasks wisely, save time, and increase productivity. Make 2022 the year you put yourself and your business first.
