How Do I Access The SMD File for AdultBlock?
Overview
Eligibility of the AdultBlock coverage requires an original Sunrise B block or a valid Signed Mark Data (SMD) file. If you do not currently have your SMD file, it can be obtained from the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH). An SMD file is a unique identifier that serves to validate your trademark at the TMCH
How to Download the SMD File
- Login to your TMCH account. You will be taken to the Mark Overview page.
- Click on the Services tab, then click the Standard Services button.
- You will be taken to the Services Overview, which is divided into Mark and U-label columns.
- In the U-label column, you will see your labels, a file icon, and the On/Off buttons.
- Click on the file icon to download the SMD file.
- The SMD file will show the trademark name, the smdID, your labels, the notbefore date (when it became active), the notafter date (when it’s revoked), and then the encoded content.
