How Do I Access The SMD File for AdultBlock?

Overview

Eligibility of the AdultBlock coverage requires an original Sunrise B block or a valid Signed Mark Data (SMD) file. If you do not currently have your SMD file, it can be obtained from the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH). An SMD file is a unique identifier that serves to validate your trademark at the TMCH

How to Download the SMD File

  1. Login to your TMCH account. You will be taken to the Mark Overview page.
  2. Click on the Services tab, then click the Standard Services button.

  1. You will be taken to the Services Overview, which is divided into Mark and U-label columns.
  2. In the U-label column, you will see your labels, a file icon, and the On/Off buttons.
  3. Click on the file icon to download the SMD file.

  1. The SMD file will show the trademark name, the smdID, your labels, the notbefore date (when it became active), the notafter date (when it’s revoked), and then the encoded content.
