How Do I Add Address Books in Cloud Mail?

Efficiently managing your contacts is crucial for seamless communication, and Network Solutions Cloud Mail makes it easier than ever. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add address books, subscribe to external address books, and manage shared address books within Cloud Mail.

How Do I Create Personal Address Books?

Once you click the Address Book icon Address book icon, your personal address books will show in the Folder view under My address books.

Note: You must click the Open folder view icon Open folder view icon to display the Folder view.

Follow these steps to create a personal address book:

  1. In the Folder view, click on the plus icon beside My address books, then click Add new address book.

  2. Enter a name for your new address book in the window that opens.
    • To make the new address book a public address book, enable Add as public folder.

  3. Click Add.

How Do I Subscribe to External Address Books?

Subscribing to external address books allows you to use your contacts from other providers. You have the following options:

  • You can sync changes from an external address book by refreshing the subscribed address book. Please see How Do I Manage Subscribed Address Books? below for further details.
  • You cannot create or modify contacts in the subscribed address book.

Follow these steps to subscribe to external address books:

  1. Click the Settings icon on the top-right and select Subscribe to address book.

  2. Choose one of the icons. Note that the steps differ depending on the provider:
    • For certain providers, you must sign in with your credentials in another window to allow access to the address book data.
    • For other providers, you must enter your credentials in the Subscribe to Address book window to allow access to the address book data.

    • If the provider asks permission to access the data, grant them access.

A Subscription icon Subscriptions icon Cloud image will serve as an indication for subscribed address books. Clicking on the icon will open the subscription settings.

How Do I Manage Subscribed Address Books?

The following options are available when managing subscribed address books:

  • Refresh a subscribed address book
  • Show all subscriptions
  • Enable or disable a subscription
  • Remove a subscription

Follow these steps to manage subscribed address books:

  1. Click the Settings icon on the top-right and select All settings.

  2. Click Accounts on the left menu, then go to Subscriptions.

You can do the following:

  • To update a subscribed address book, click Refresh next to the subscription.
  • To display the folder with the subscribed data, click the navigation path beneath the name of the subscription. Click the Subscriptions icon Subscriptions icon Cloud Icon in the Folder view if you only want to see the data for a specific folder.
  • To enable or disable a subscription, click Enable or Disable beside the subscription.
  • To cancel your subscription, click the Delete icon x next to it.

How Do I Subscribe to Shared Address Books?

You have the following options when using shared address books:

  • Define which shared address books will appear in the Folder view by subscribing to a shared address book. This allows you to see the number of shared address books in the Folder view.
  • You can configure whether a shared address book will sync with other clients (e.g., with your smartphone).
  • You can cancel your subscription if you no longer need a shared address book.

Follow these steps to manage shared address books:

  1. Click the Settings icon on the top-right and choose Subscribe to shared address book.

    • Alternatively, you can click the Subscribe to shared address books button within the address book settings.

  2. A window will open, displaying your private and public address books.

  3. Enable the toggle switch Toggle siwtch enabled if you want a specific address book to appear in the Folder view. Enable the Synchronize via DAV checkbox to allow syncing with a specific address book.
    • Disable the toggle switch Toggle switch disabled and uncheck the Synchronize via DAV checkbox if you no longer wish to sync or show a specific address book in the Folder view.
