How to Add Calendar to Cloud Mail
Never miss a necessary appointment again! Staying organized with your schedule is easy; add a calendar to Cloud Mail. We use our calendars to keep track of meetings/appointments. We also use them to track team schedules, events, activities, and more. You can sort out your appointments using your calendar by separately saving private and business appointments.
In this article, you will learn to add calendars, subscribe to public and shared calendars, subscribe to external calendars, and import calendars from files.
Within the calendar app, you will see both new and existing calendars on the left menu. If you do not see a list of your calendars, click the Open folder view icon on the lower left corner of your calendar app to view your calendars.

To create a calendar, follow these steps:

Once logged in to Cloud Mail, click the calendar icon
on the top left portion of your mail.

You will see your list of calendars on the left menu when the Folder view is open. If not, click the Open folder view icon
on the lower left corner of your calendar app to open the Folder view.

Next, click the plus icon next to My calendars, then click Add new calendar.

Enter a name for your new calendar. If you want the new calendar to be public, enable the Add as public calendar checkbox.

Click Add.
You have added a new calendar. Your calendar will automatically show in the Folder view under My calendars.
You can use calendars that are public or shared by other users as follows:
- If you have subscribed to a public or shared calendar, it will show in your Folder view under Shared or Public calendars.
- If you have subscribed to a public or shared calendar, you can set whether the calendar will be synchronized with other clients (e.g., with your smartphone).
- If you no longer need to subscribe to a public or shared calendar, you can cancel it.
To set the calendar you want to subscribe to, follow these steps:

You will see your list of calendars on the left menu when the Folder view is open. If not, click the Open folder view icon
on the lower left corner of your calendar app to open the Folder view.

Click the drop-down arrow beside the New appointment button, then select Subscribe to shared calendar.

Alternatively, click on the Settings icon
and select Subscribe to shared calendar.

If you want a calendar displayed in the Folder view, enable the Subscribe to calendar toggle
. To define that a displayed calendar is synchronized, enable the Synchronize via DAV checkbox. If you no longer want a calendar displayed and synchronized, disable the Subscribe to calendar toggle
.
You have set the shared or public calendar to which you have subscribed.
Using an iCalendar (iCal) URL is the standard method for viewing calendar data from one application to another. You can import external calendar appointments by subscribing to an external calendar that supports iCalendars (for example, Apple Calendar, Google Calendars, Microsoft Outlook Calendar, etc.)
- You must know the calendar’s iCal URL or link to proceed with the steps below. An iCal URL typically ends with .ics
- Appointment changes in external calendars will automatically synchronize with the subscribed calendar.
- You cannot edit or create appointments in subscribed calendars.
To subscribe to external calendars, follow these steps:
- Once logged in to Cloud Mail, click the calendar icon
on the top left portion of your mail.
- You will see your list of calendars on the left menu when the Folder view is open. If not, click the Open folder view icon
on the lower left corner of your calendar app to open the Folder view.
- Click the drop-down arrow beside the New appointment button, then select Import from URL.
- Alternatively, click on the Settings icon
and select Import from URL.
- Alternatively, click on the Settings icon
- Next, enter an iCal URL, then click Subscribe.
Options:
- The reminder set as the default in the calendar settings will be applied to all appointments on a public calendar or an iCal calendar. To change the reminder for each appointment, click on the horizontal ellipsis found next to a specific calendar. Then, click Change reminders. This function is unavailable for the Google calendars you subscribe to.
- To refresh the subscribed data, click the horizontal ellipsis next to the calendar, then click Refresh this calendar.
You have subscribed to an external calendar. Your calendar will automatically show in the Folder view under Shared calendars.
You can import calendars created from applications that support iCalendars. An iCalendar (iCal) is a file format that allows you to share calendars with other users. iCal files use the extension .ics. Several products, such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, and more, support it.
To import calendars from a file, follow these steps:
- Once logged in to Cloud Mail, click the calendar icon
on the top left portion of your mail.
- You will see your list of calendars on the left menu when the Folder view is open. If not, click the Open folder view icon
on the lower left corner of your calendar app to open the Folder view.
- Click the drop-down arrow beside the New appointment button, then select Import file.
- Alternatively, click on the Settings icon
and select Import file.
- Alternatively, click on the Settings icon
- Click on the Upload file button. Then, select a file.
- Enter a name for the new calendar.
- Click Import.
The imported calendar will automatically be added to the Folder view under My calendars.
