How to Associate a Domain Name to an Online Store or Online Marketplaces Package?

Important: If you are being migrated from the version 4 software, please note that you will not be able to change your DNS settings until Migration is complete

For your eCommerce site to be viewable on the Internet, a domain name must be associated or assigned to the Ecommerce Package. Follow the steps below to assign your domain name to an Ecommerce package.

1. Click here to log in to your Account Manager.

2. On the left menu, click on eCommerce, then click on Manage eCommerce:

  • If you only have a single Ecommerce package, clicking Ecommerce will take you directly to the Ecommerce details screen.

  • If you have multiple Ecommerce sites, the page will present you with a list of Ecommerce Package. Click on the Ecommerce package you intend to assign a domain. Clicking the Manage button will take you to the Ecommerce Service Details screen for that Ecommerce product.

3. On the Service Details screen, locate the Manage Ecommerce Domains section and click on Assign Domains.

  • If you would like to assign a domain name, not with Network Solutions®, click on the click here link and follow the steps for adding a domain.

  • If you would like to add a domain from your account, type a subdomain in the text area provided (optional) and select your desired domain name from the Select a domain name drop-down box.

Note: If you want this setting to be your primary domain, place a check mark in the Make this my primary domain box.

4. Click on the Go button.

5. Review your assignment and if the information is correct, click on the GO button.

6. Your domain is now assigned to your E-ommerce package.

7. A confirmation page will appear verifying that your domain name has been assigned to the Ecommerce package:

  • If your domain is hosted at Network Solutions®, we will update your Domain name records automatically.

  • If your domain is hosted elsewhere, you will need to update the DNS (Domain Name Server) settings listed at your current registrar. The confirmation page will provide the resource records that you will need to update your current registrar.

Note: If your domain is hosted elsewhere, you will need to update the DNS (Domain Name Server) settings listed at your current registrar. The confirmation page will provide the resource records that you will need to update your current registrar.
