Builder brands: How to add a blog to the Express editor

Blogging is one of the many ways to reach out to people and be where they are. If you're unfamiliar with a blog, it's similar to an online journal or diary where you can convey your ideas and gather new ones. This article will discuss the basics of how to add a blog to your Network Solutions website.

How to Access the Website Editor

Please follow the steps below to learn how to access the Builder from the Account Manager.

  1. Log in to your Network Solutions' Account Manager via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Select Websites from the left menu to launch the Website Builder.

    Pro tip: If you have multiple website builders on your account, in the All Websites section:
    1. Choose the Website Builder you want to manage.
    2. Lastly, click Launch.
  3. On the main Website Builder dashboard, click the Edit Site button.

Adding a Blog to your website through Sections

After you have accessed the Website Editor, please follow the steps below to add a blog through Sections:

  1. Click the + (Add Section) button on any page between two sections.

  2. In the Section menu on the left, choose Blog. This will bring up several layouts to choose from.

  3. Choose a layout you like. This will add a new section to the current page and a Blog and Post Page to your website.

  4. Your blog is now available from the Blog section, the Blog page, and the Blog Post page.

Adding a Blog Page from the Website Editor menu

After you have accessed the Website Editor, please follow the steps below to add a blog from the Website Editor menu:

  1. Click on Blog in the left-hand menu.

  2. A pop-up will ask if you would like us to add a page or for you to add a section later.

  3. Click Go Ahead to have a blog page added to your site.

  4. Your blog is now available. Fill in the Information for your first blog post:

    • Title of your Story - Blog title
    • Introduction - This is a short and catchy introduction to interest readers
    • Content - Complete details or information about your blog.
    • Cover Image and Categories - Cover photo of your new post
  5. Select whether you want to publish your post now, schedule a date, or save it as a draft and proceed.

Note: Think of the Blog Post Page as your Master Key. These pages don't get seen by any of your visitors, but the look of this page determines what the pages of your blog look like that people DO see. The changes you make here will only affect the look of your posts.

Adding and Editing a Blog from your Account Home Page

Please follow the steps below to add and edit a blog from the Marketing Hub Dashboard page:

  1. Access Marketing Hub:
    1. Log in to your Network Solutions' Account Manager via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
    2. Select Websites from the left menu to launch the Website Builder.

      1. Choose the Website Builder you want to manage.
      2. Lastly, click Launch.
    3. On the main Website Builder dashboard, click the Marketing Hub tab.

  2. From your main dashboard, click on Blog.

  3. A new page will open with three options to choose from:
    • Add a Blog to an existing website that does not already have one.

    • Manage Blog on a site where a blog has already been installed.

    • Create a new blog site to start a brand new site that focuses on the blog.
