Builder brands: How to add or change a video

When building your website with your drag-and-drop editor, you may come across the ability to display a video on your pages. Once you have the video URL from either YouTube or Vimeo, you can quickly add that to your website to view that clip live. Whether the theme already has a video in it or you would like to add a new one to a section, this article will cover how to add the video element or change the URL and Settings once added.

How to add a video

  1. Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Select Websites on the left menu, and you will be routed to a different tab where you can access your website editor.

    Note: Alternatively, if you have multiple website builder accounts, click Launch to proceed.
  3. Launch your website editor by selecting Edit Site.

  4. Select Elements from the left-hand menu.

  5. Next, look for and select Videos.

  6. Click on VIDEO.

    Click on Single Video
     
  7. Click on a location within your editor to place the block.
  8. Once placed, you will see the video preview display with a toolbar above it.

How to change a video URL

  1. Log in to your Account Manager via https://www.networksolutions.com/my-account/login.
  2. Select Websites on the left menu, and you will be routed to a different tab where you can access your website editor.

  3. Launch your website editor by choosing Edit Site.

  4. From the editor, select the video element you'd like to change to reveal the video toolbar. Select Change Video.

  5. A pop-up will appear with a text box inside.

  6. Copy the URL from the source and paste it into the text area provided. The video must be set to public to be displayed on the site.

  7. Select OK, and you will land back on the main design dashboard, where you will see your video preview.

  8. Be sure to Save and Publish your changes to make them live.

How to change video settings

From the video toolbar, you can:

  • Add overlay
  • Add animations
  • Customize pop-up
  • Send forward or backward a layer
  • Copy, delete, more

From the 'More' options, you can:

  • Add video controls like 'Play & Pause'
  • Set docking
  • Add drop shadow & glow
  • Advanced

From the 'Advanced' pop-up menu, you can:

  • Change the Video that displays in the Element.
  • Change Video Player Element Settings, like actions and autoplay.
  • Change the Video Player Element Style, like borders and opacity.
  • Change Video Player Element Size and Position within a section.
  • Change Video Player Element Animations Custom Settings.
