Builder brands: PayPal funds from store orders being held

Occasionally PayPal will hold funds from store orders to ensure that they are being handled by a proper business account. To free up these funds and receive money, you will want to double-check all of the following items.

You will first want to make sure that the email tied to your store is set up as a business account through PayPal. Once properly set up, you will receive an email from Paypal about getting started. Set up Constant Contact websites as a verified seller

Once you receive your first order through your store with PayPal as the payment processor, you will get an email from PayPal that you’ve received a payment to your store. At the bottom of the email, you will see a Get Started button that will allow you to set up your Constant Contact websites account as a verified seller.

  • Yes, there are a few ways that you can tell if your funds from your customers are being held. The first is that PayPal will have a flag on the payment in your account with them. The second indicator will be that in your Constant Contact websites store you will see that an order’s payment status is Pending.
